The year in searches

RE Custom Search Engine totals from about December 15, 2006 to December 27, 2007: 14,248.

Distribution:
As one might expect, the highs correspond to academic terms in the norther hemisphere, and lows to the northern summer, with peaks typically on Wednesdays and valleys on Sundays. The original peak, or December 15, 2006, is Risa's testing of the engine prior to publication.

The totals for the other search engines are: Early Modern Blogroll: 372, Faerie Queene, 4706, Spenser, 293, Montaigne, 3060, and Shakespeare, 644. 54-week total searches at RE: 23,323.

This total does not reflect searches in Google's main search engine, searches in any other engines such as Yahoo, searches of RE mirror sites (University of Toronto, Sheffield Hallam University), or searches made in those institutions' or University of Oregon Scholar's Bank's proprietary search engine.
